  • SayPro 2025 National Healthcare Decisions Day Speech

By the SayPro Chief Learning and Monitoring Officer- Tsakani Rikhotso

Honourable Guests, Healthcare Leaders, Development Partners, SayPro Team Members, and Valued Communities,

    Good morning.

It is an honour to speak on this significant day — SayPro’s 2025 National Healthcare Decisions Day — a moment that reminds us of the vital connection between knowledge, accountability, and informed choice in our healthcare system.

As the Chief Learning and Monitoring Officer at SayPro, I am entrusted with a critical responsibility: ensuring that what we do is not only done well but also done with purpose, equity, and impact.

National Healthcare Decisions Day isn’t only about encouraging individuals to make decisions about their health — it is also about holding ourselves, as institutions, accountable for creating the systems, knowledge, and environments where those decisions are possible and respected.

    At SayPro, we believe that:

    • Learning drives change. We learn from data, from communities, and from the stories of those whose healthcare decisions were respected — and those whose decisions were ignored.
    • Monitoring builds trust. It allows us to see where gaps exist — in service delivery, in communication, in support systems — and to correct course before people fall through those cracks.
    • Evaluation inspires progress. It helps us move from assumptions to evidence and from intention to measurable impact.

In 2025, our work has focused on:

    • Monitoring how people access healthcare information and whether it leads to confident decision-making
    • Tracking the inclusion of patient voices in health planning and delivery
    • Evaluating training programmes for healthcare workers on respecting patient autonomy
    • And building feedback systems so that our communities are not just recipients of healthcare — but active participants in shaping it

This year, SayPro has launched several new community-based learning and monitoring initiatives that give real people the power to speak up, share their experience, and co-create solutions that reflect their values and needs.

Because healthcare decisions are not made in isolation — they are shaped by culture, access, language, literacy, and trust. And unless we learn from real-life contexts, our systems risk failing the very people they are designed to serve.

Today, I call on all sectors to:

    • Invest in learning, not just teaching
    • Monitor not just numbers, but human experiences
    • And evaluate not only outcomes, but also respect for dignity and choice

Let us make healthcare not just a service, but a shared learning journey — one where everyone’s decision is informed, heard, and honoured.

Happy National Healthcare Decisions Day 2025.
Together, let’s learn better. Let’s monitor fairly. Let’s support every voice, every choice.

    Thank you.

  • SayPro 2025 National Healthcare Decisions Day Speech

By the SayPro Chief Finance Officer- Toka Keamogetswe

Distinguished Guests, Health Sector Partners, SayPro Colleagues, Community Stakeholders, and Friends,

    Good morning.

It is a privilege to join you today on this important occasion — National Healthcare Decisions Day 2025, hosted by SayPro.

As the Chief Finance Officer of SayPro, I come to this conversation not only with a focus on numbers and budgets, but with a deeper understanding that every rand we spend in healthcare represents a life, a family, a future. Financial decisions in healthcare are moral decisions. And how we allocate resources reflects the kind of society we are striving to build.

National Healthcare Decisions Day is about empowering individuals to take control of their own health journeys — but it is also about how institutions like SayPro plan, prioritise, and invest in systems that support those personal decisions.

Let’s be clear: empowering people to make informed healthcare decisions requires investment in:

    • Accessible health services across rural and urban areas
    • Health literacy programmes that help people understand their rights and options
    • Technology and data systems that allow for better decision-making
    • Training for professionals to respect and uphold patient choices
    • And community-based research and outreach, which ensures no one is left behind

At SayPro, we see healthcare not as a cost to be managed but as a value to be protected. Every investment we make in preventive care, decision-support education, and ethical health planning reduces long-term healthcare costs, improves lives, and strengthens our social fabric.

In 2025, our financial strategy has been aligned with this principle — to fund not just treatment, but empowerment. To not only manage budgets but to mobilise resources equitably and sustainably.

We have worked closely with our partners to develop budgeting frameworks that support patient-centered care, and to ensure that every rand spent contributes to dignity, autonomy, and access. This is financial leadership with purpose.

I want to take this opportunity to thank our healthcare partners, our donor networks, and our internal teams for their continued commitment to putting people first — not just in policy, but in funding, planning, and delivery.

As we move forward, I call on all financial and operational leaders — across government, business, and civil society — to view healthcare decisions as an investment in our nation’s resilience, productivity, and humanity.

Let us continue to fund wisely, spend ethically, and support systems that enable every South African to make healthcare decisions with confidence, knowledge, and hope.

Happy National Healthcare Decisions Day 2025.
Let us invest in lives. Let us invest in dignity. Let us invest in choice.

    Thank you.

  • SayPro 2025 National Healthcare Decisions Day Speech

By the SayPro Chief Research Officer – Patricia Tsebe

Esteemed Guests, Healthcare Leaders, Partners, Community Members, Colleagues, and Friends,

Good morning and thank you for joining us on this important occasion — SayPro’s 2025 National Healthcare Decisions Day.

As the Chief Research Officer of SayPro, I stand here with a deep sense of responsibility and purpose. Today is not just about awareness — it is about evidence, ethics, and empowerment. It is about understanding the role that informed healthcare decisions play in saving lives, shaping systems, and strengthening communities.

Healthcare decisions are some of the most personal and impactful choices we make — yet for many, they are clouded by uncertainty, misinformation, or lack of access to reliable data. This is where research becomes not just useful — but essential.

At SayPro, we believe that sound decisions require sound information. That is why our research efforts in 2025 have focused on:

    • Collecting and analysing community health data to identify gaps in knowledge and care
    • Studying patient behaviours and cultural attitudes around advance care planning
    • Evaluating the effectiveness of health education campaigns across different demographics
    • And developing user-friendly tools and materials that help people make informed, values-based choices about their health

We do this not to sit on shelves or fill reports, but to translate research into action, and action into better health outcomes for everyone — regardless of income, education, or geography.

This year, our findings have shown a significant increase in people seeking clarity on their healthcare rights, asking about living wills, and participating in end-of-life care planning workshops. That is not just progress — it’s transformation.

But we are not there yet.

Too many still do not know their options. Too many fear the systems meant to help them. And too many are left out of the decision-making process because their voices are not being heard or studied.

That is why SayPro’s research division remains committed to community-led inquiry, inclusive data collection, and evidence-based advocacy. We work hand-in-hand with healthcare providers, civil society, universities, and our own communities to ensure our work reflects real experiences and real needs.

Let today be a call to action — not only to make our own healthcare decisions, but to demand a system that supports everyone in doing the same.

Let us invest in research that informs.
Let us support systems that protect.
And let us build a future where every healthcare decision is made with dignity, knowledge, and care.

Happy National Healthcare Decisions Day 2025.
Let research guide us. Let compassion unite us. Let informed choices empower us.

    Thank you.
Let’s keep learning. Let’s keep deciding — wisely and together.

  • SayPro 2025 National Healthcare Decisions Day Speech

By the SayPro Chief Marketing Officer – Puluko Nkiwane

Distinguished Guests, Healthcare Professionals, SayPro Team Members, Community Leaders, Partners, and Fellow Citizens,

    Good day to you all.

It is both an honour and a privilege to stand before you today on National Healthcare Decisions Day 2025 — a day that encourages each of us to reflect deeply, speak boldly, and act responsibly when it comes to our health and the choices that define it.

As the Chief Marketing Officer of SayPro, I have the unique opportunity — and responsibility — to shape how we communicate, how we educate, and how we empower people to take control of their health journeys. Today is not just about systems and policies; it is about people. Real people. Real lives. Real decisions.

In a time when healthcare is evolving faster than ever, one truth remains constant: informed decision-making saves lives.

That is why SayPro, through our many campaigns and partnerships, is working tirelessly to ensure:

    • That every person, young and old, rural and urban, understands their healthcare rights
    • That advance care planning and health literacy are not just medical terms, but part of daily conversations in our homes and communities
    • That we equip our people not just with access to services, but with the knowledge and confidence to make the right decisions for themselves and their families
    • And that we use our platforms — digital, in-person, and institutional — to break down stigma and foster open dialogue about wellness, chronic illness, end-of-life care, mental health, and more

Today, we reaffirm that healthcare is not a privilege; it is a human right. And the right to decide — how we are cared for, what treatments we receive, who speaks for us when we cannot — is sacred.

As SayPro’s marketing team, we are more than messengers. We are storytellers, advocates, and mobilisers. We are committed to using every campaign, every message, every post, and every programme to push healthcare decisions into the spotlight — where they belong.

I call on all of us today — individuals, families, health workers, faith leaders, educators, and institutions — to not only speak about healthcare decisions but to document them, share them, respect them, and honour them.

Let us move from silence to conversation. From confusion to clarity. From fear to empowerment.

Because when we give people the tools to make healthcare decisions, we are not just protecting lives — we are restoring dignity, building trust, and shaping a healthier, stronger, more compassionate society.

Happy National Healthcare Decisions Day 2025.
Let us choose well. Let us choose together. Let us choose with love.

    Thank you.

  • SayPro 2025 Agriculture Day Speech By Royal Committee, Non-Executive Member – Israel Basie Medupe

Your Majesties, Respected Traditional Leaders, Esteemed SayPro Executives, Distinguished Guests, Farmers, Youth Representatives, and Members of our Cherished Communities,
    Good day to you all.

It is with deep honour and humble gratitude that I address you today as a Non-Executive Member of the SayPro Royal Committee on this special occasion — SayPro Agriculture Day 2025.

As we gather beneath the open skies, with the scent of soil and promise in the air, we are reminded of the timeless truth: agriculture is life. It is not just about food on our tables — it is about dignity, tradition, resilience, and opportunity.

My name is Israel Basie Medupe, and I come before you not only as a servant of SayPro but as a son of this soil — one who understands the spiritual, cultural, and economic power of agriculture in shaping our lives and our communities.

As a Non-Executive Member, I am entrusted with the responsibility to offer independent oversight, community-rooted advice, and to be a voice for accountability. But more than that, I see my role as one of ensuring that every initiative led by SayPro honours both tradition and progress, and that our agriculture programmes truly serve the people they are meant for.

This year, 2025, marks a turning point. We have seen:

    • Youth taking charge of agribusiness opportunities, supported by SayPro’s Work Integrated Learning (WIL) programmes in partnership with the University of Johannesburg
    • Traditional farming methods blending with new technologies, increasing productivity while maintaining environmental respect
    • Greater access to funding, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing platforms for women, rural farmers, and cooperatives
    • And a growing commitment to food sovereignty and community-driven sustainability

Let me be clear — we are not just growing crops. We are growing a movement. A movement where our elders are respected as knowledge keepers, our youth are empowered as innovators, and our land is protected as a sacred inheritance.

As Mr. Medupe, I call on all of us — leaders, citizens, professionals, and traditional custodians — to continue championing this cause with boldness, clarity, and unity. Let us support policy that empowers, let us fund programmes that uplift, and let us remember that the health of our nation begins with the health of our soil.

In closing, I leave you with these words:

“A nation that cannot feed itself is a nation that cannot free itself.”

Together, with SayPro leading the way, we will feed, free, and build Africa — one field, one youth, one harvest at a time.

    Happy SayPro Agriculture Day 2025.
May we walk this path with purpose, and may our hands never tire of planting hope.

    Thank you.
    Ke a leboga.
    Ngiyabonga.

  • SayPro 2025 Agriculture Day Speech

By SayPro Royal Committee Non-Executive Member – Timothy Magoro

Your Majesties, Honourable Traditional Leaders, Distinguished Guests, SayPro Family, and Esteemed Community Members,
    Good day.

It is a great honour to stand before you today on this important occasion — SayPro Agriculture Day 2025 — a day dedicated to celebrating the enduring spirit, hard work, and innovation within our agricultural sector.

As a Non-Executive Member of the SayPro Royal Committee, my role is to provide independent insight, guidance, and oversight to ensure that SayPro’s agricultural initiatives remain effective, inclusive, and sustainable. It is a role I take with pride because agriculture is not just an industry — it is the very backbone of our communities, economies, and heritage.

Today, we celebrate the farmers who rise before dawn, the youth eager to learn and innovate, the traditional leaders who preserve our cultural values, and the partnerships that unite us — from rural villages to urban centres.

In 2025, SayPro has made remarkable strides:

    • Supporting inclusive agricultural programmes that empower women, youth, and smallholder farmers
    • Fostering collaboration with educational institutions like the University of Johannesburg to provide meaningful Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities
    • Promoting transparency and accountability in agricultural development through strong governance and oversight
    • Encouraging the adoption of sustainable and modern farming practices alongside the preservation of indigenous knowledge

As a non-executive member, I see clearly that the future of agriculture lies in balance — between tradition and innovation, community and commerce, sustainability and growth.

Our commitment at SayPro is to nurture this balance by holding ourselves accountable and ensuring that every voice is heard, every resource is wisely used, and every opportunity is accessible.

I encourage all of us today to remain steadfast in our shared vision: a thriving agricultural sector that feeds our people, builds our economy, and honours our heritage.

Thank you to our royal families, our farmers, our youth, and our partners for your dedication and partnership. Together, we will continue to cultivate a prosperous and sustainable future.

    Happy SayPro Agriculture Day 2025!
    I thank you.

  • SayPro 2025 Agriculture Day Speech

By SayPro Royal Committee Deputy Secretary – Martha Keditlwaetse Moshoeshoe

Your Majesties, Esteemed Traditional Leaders, Honourable Guests, SayPro Leadership, Partners, and Fellow Community Members,
    Good day.

It is with deep gratitude and great honour that I stand before you today on this special occasion — SayPro Agriculture Day 2025. Today, we gather not only to celebrate the strength of our agricultural sector but also to honour the traditional values and cultural legacy that have long sustained our relationship with the land.

As the Deputy Secretary of the SayPro Royal Committee, I play a vital role in ensuring that the voices of our royal institutions, elders, and traditional communities are documented, preserved, and respected in all development efforts — especially those rooted in agriculture.

Agriculture is not only an economic activity — it is a spiritual, cultural, and ancestral connection. It is through agriculture that our people have survived, traded, and grown strong. Today, as we embrace new technology, market access, and innovation, we must not forget the wisdom of our elders, the stories of our ancestors, and the customs that remind us that land is sacred.

In my role, I have seen the value of clear communication, respectful engagement, and accurate record-keeping between traditional councils, communities, and development organisations like SayPro. I am proud to share that in 2025:

    • SayPro has ensured inclusive engagement with royal houses and traditional leadership in agricultural planning
    • Community meetings, minutes, and decisions have been carefully recorded and shared to promote transparency and accountability
    • Our cultural practices have been honoured while working alongside modern agricultural education, especially through our partnerships with institutions like the University of Johannesburg and the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) programme
    • And importantly, our youth — the future scribes and stewards of the land — have been empowered to document, lead, and grow within this agricultural space

We must continue to protect both the land and the language that binds us to it. We must ensure that every agreement is clearly written, every voice is heard, and every tradition is upheld as we modernise.

To our traditional leaders — thank you for your guidance.
To our farmers — thank you for your commitment.
To SayPro — thank you for creating platforms where both progress and tradition can coexist.
To our youth — you are the future authors of our story. Document wisely. Lead with honour.

As we celebrate this year’s SayPro Agriculture Day, let us carry forward our responsibility to write a future that is rooted in truth, nourished by culture, and harvested with pride.

    Ke a leboga.
    Ngiyabonga.
    I thank you all.

  • SayPro 2025 Agriculture Day Speech

By SayPro Royal Committee Secretary – Mary Mapula Malebe

Your Majesties, Respected Elders, Esteemed Guests, Community Leaders, SayPro Colleagues, and Fellow Citizens,
    Good day.

It is both a privilege and a heartfelt honour to address you on this important occasion — SayPro Agriculture Day 2025. This is not just a celebration of agriculture. It is a celebration of our culture, our resilience, and the unity that binds us to the land and to each other.

As the Secretary of the SayPro Royal Committee, my role is to preserve the integrity of communication, documentation, and the collective voice of our royal and traditional stakeholders. Today, I proudly stand as a voice for both our heritage and our future — a bridge between wisdom passed down through generations and the urgent needs of a changing agricultural landscape.

Agriculture has always been the foundation of our existence. From our ancestors who first tilled the soil to today’s young innovators who use technology to farm smarter, the story of our people is rooted in the earth. But for that story to thrive, it must be guided, recorded, and protected with care, honesty, and accountability.

This year, 2025, has shown us that agriculture is not only about production — it is about participation, policy, planning, and preservation. We, in the Royal Committee, have ensured that:

    • Traditional leaders and rural communities have a clear voice in agricultural development
    • Customary knowledge and indigenous farming techniques are being documented and integrated into sustainable practices
    • All financial records, decisions, and agreements made within our agricultural partnerships are transparent, ethical, and accessible
    • Our collaborations with institutions such as the University of Johannesburg are strengthened through well-documented internship programmes and inclusive learning pathways

SayPro has empowered communities to move forward while honouring where they come from. Through our Work Integrated Learning (WIL) initiatives, we have opened doors for young people to see agriculture not just as labour, but as leadership.

We must remember: every field planted begins with a plan. Every harvest starts with a conversation. Every successful programme depends on record-keeping, coordination, and trust.

To our farmers — your daily work is the lifeblood of our nation.
To our royal leaders — your wisdom keeps us grounded.
To SayPro — your structure ensures we thrive together.
And to our youth — you are the scribes of a new era in agriculture.

As Secretary, I commit to continuing our work with diligence, transparency, and cultural respect. Together, we will document a legacy that future generations will be proud to inherit.

May SayPro Agriculture Day 2025 be a reminder of what we can grow — not only in our soil, but in our values and shared humanity.

Let us record greatness. Let us cultivate legacy. Let us harvest unity.

    I thank you.

  • SayPro 2025 Agriculture Day Speech

By SayPro Royal Committee Deputy Treasurer – Jane Ndlovu

Your Majesties, Esteemed Leaders, Distinguished Guests, Honoured Farmers, and Members of the SayPro Family,
    Good day.

It is a privilege and great honour to speak before you today on SayPro Agriculture Day 2025 — a celebration of our land, our people, and the shared promise of prosperity that agriculture offers.

As the Deputy Treasurer of the SayPro Royal Committee, I serve not only as a custodian of resources but as a bridge between our traditional values and the evolving demands of development. Today, we gather to pay tribute to the heart of our continent — agriculture — and to those who nurture it daily, often with limited means but boundless spirit.

Our heritage teaches us that the land is sacred. It feeds, heals, sustains, and unites us. But in today’s world, we must also ensure that the resources invested into agriculture are responsibly managed, equitably shared, and strategically deployed — especially for those most in need: our rural communities, youth, and smallholder farmers.

Under the wise leadership of SayPro and our Royal Committee, and through effective collaboration with government departments and learning institutions like the University of Johannesburg, we have achieved remarkable progress in 2025:

    • Strengthened financial oversight mechanisms to ensure that agricultural funds and grants reach their rightful recipients
    • Supported community-based farming cooperatives with transparent budgeting and support systems
    • Advocated for inclusive agricultural finance models that uplift women and youth in the agricultural value chain
    • And improved resource accountability, ensuring that every investment is monitored, evaluated, and redirected to where it has the most impact

Our work is about more than numbers. It is about empowerment through finance — ensuring that farmers can access the tools they need, that youth can transform internships into careers, and that traditional communities can move from survival to sustainability.

Let us not forget: a well-managed seed grows into an abundant harvest. Likewise, well-managed agricultural funds grow into food security, rural development, and national pride.

To our royal houses and traditional leaders — thank you for preserving our values and guiding us with wisdom.
To SayPro — thank you for placing communities at the centre of agricultural transformation.
To our youth and interns — thank you for embracing agriculture not only as a duty but as a future.
And to our farmers — you are the true heroes of this day. We honour you.

As we celebrate SayPro Agriculture Day 2025, let us continue to cultivate not only the soil, but our shared responsibility, our integrity, and our commitment to building a legacy of nourishment and dignity.

    Ke a leboga.
    Ngiyabonga.
    I thank you.

  • SayPro 2025 Agriculture Day Speech By SayPro Royal Committee Treasurer – Dipuo Mildred Mamabolo

Your Majesties, Esteemed Guests, Respected Partners, SayPro Leadership, and Beloved Communities,
    Good day.

It is a profound honour to address you today on this special occasion — SayPro Agriculture Day 2025 — a day where we honour not only the soil that sustains us, but the cultural, economic, and spiritual heritage that agriculture represents in our communities.

As the Royal Committee Treasurer of SayPro, I stand at the intersection of heritage, responsibility, and accountability. My role is not simply about managing resources — it is about protecting legacy, ensuring wise stewardship, and honouring the ancestral relationship between our people and the land.

Today, we gather not only to celebrate progress in agriculture, but to reflect on how we invest in that progress — financially, ethically, and with long-term vision. True development, especially in agriculture, demands not only innovation but sustainable resource management, fair distribution, and accountability to both our people and our future.

In 2025, I am proud to report that SayPro has ensured:

    • Transparent allocation of agricultural development funds, reaching smallholder farmers, youth enterprises, and women-led cooperatives
    • Strengthened community-based budgeting, allowing traditional leaders and local stakeholders to help guide how resources are spent
    • Increased investment in agricultural training and internships through our Work Integrated Learning (WIL) partnerships, including our ongoing collaboration with institutions like the University of Johannesburg
    • And the introduction of agricultural grant oversight mechanisms, which ensure every rand spent is a seed planted for growth, dignity, and impact

At SayPro, we do not see agriculture as a line item — we see it as a lifeline. And our Royal Committee is committed to upholding the honour and integrity of how we support the people who care for the land.

We respect our traditional leaders for their wisdom and their role in guiding rural development. We value our farmers for their hard work and resilience. And we uplift our young agripreneurs as the hope of our future.

Today, let us not only celebrate crops and harvests. Let us celebrate accountability, transparency, and the wise use of every resource entrusted to us.

To our communities — thank you for your trust.
To our royal partners — thank you for your guidance.
To SayPro — thank you for your unwavering commitment to excellence in every sector.

On this SayPro Agriculture Day 2025, let us continue to sow with integrity, grow with wisdom, and harvest with honour.

    I thank you.
May our land always provide, and may we always protect it well.
