Data Analyst Responsibilities:
Create visual reports (graphs, charts) to communicate findings to both the marketing and executive teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Ad Performance Reporting & Analysis:
Conduct thorough analysis of advertising data across various digital platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.) to evaluate the performance of the January SCMR-8 campaign. This includes tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), such as click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, return on ad spend (ROAS), and impressions. - Data Collection and Cleaning:
Gather and clean data from multiple sources (platform reports, CRM systems, etc.) ensuring accuracy and consistency in the dataset. This includes handling large volumes of data and identifying any discrepancies or outliers that could affect analysis. - Visual Data Communication:
Design and create visually appealing and easy-to-understand reports using graphs, charts, and dashboards. These reports should clearly communicate findings, trends, and actionable insights to both the marketing and executive teams, helping them make data-driven decisions. Tools such as Tableau, Google Data Studio, or Excel are commonly used. - Campaign Performance Insights:
Provide a deep dive into campaign performance, comparing actual results with expected targets. Highlight areas of improvement and success. Use statistical techniques to identify patterns and trends that may be influencing campaign outcomes. - Collaboration with Marketing & Executive Teams:
Collaborate closely with the marketing team to understand campaign goals, target audiences, and strategies, and use this understanding to guide your analysis. Regularly present your findings to the executive team, ensuring alignment between data insights and business objectives. - Optimization Recommendations:
Based on the analysis, make strategic recommendations to optimize future ad campaigns. This could involve suggesting adjustments to ad creatives, bidding strategies, audience targeting, and overall media spend allocation. - Reporting Cadence & Ad-Hoc Requests:
Maintain a regular reporting cadence (e.g., weekly or monthly reports) to keep the team informed on ad performance. Additionally, respond to ad-hoc requests from stakeholders that require deep-dive analysis or additional insights on specific campaigns or metrics. - Continuous Improvement of Reporting Processes:
Work towards automating and streamlining reporting processes. Identify areas for improvement and introduce new tools or techniques that will enhance the quality, speed, and efficiency of reports.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Marketing, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the digital marketing or advertising industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Data Studio, Power BI).
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and advertising platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.).
- Strong analytical and statistical skills, including experience working with large datasets.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear, concise, and actionable manner to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a strong ability to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to work across departments to achieve common goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with advanced statistical methods and modeling techniques (e.g., regression analysis, A/B testing).
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and its integration with marketing platforms.
- Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as SQL or Python for data extraction and automation.

Ensure that all reports and insights are delivered within the designated time frame and with a high level of accuracy. - Insight Quality:
Provide actionable insights that lead to the optimization of ad performance, resulting in improved ROAS, CTR, and conversion rates. - Stakeholder Satisfaction:
Maintain high satisfaction levels among the marketing and executive teams, ensuring that the data analysis and reports meet their needs. - Continuous Improvement:
Regularly introduce innovative approaches to improve the data analysis and reporting process, contributing to greater efficiency and effectiveness.
